DESKTOP: Kearney v. Aasbo In The Wet
As a sport, drifting is often defined by how much smoke one can burn from their rear tires in a sideways slide. A wet track makes the sideways part a lot easier, but seriously negates the drama of puffy white clouds emitting from the car’s ass-end. How then to capture the emotion and tension during a battle under rainy conditions? Tire spray, and reflections in puddles certainly help! Formula Drift has seen its fair share of umbrella weather this season, and Round Four from Wall, New Jersey was no exception. The finals came down to Dean Kearney in the Oracle Lighting Dodge Viper against Fredric Aasbo in the Rockstar Energy Drink Hankook Tire Scion tC. Aasbo was victorious showing that he can maintain his composure trailing another driver through water splashes or tire smoke in equally skilled fashion. Enjoy this desktop of the action!
